supplyPostShipmentAsn

Posts a shipment's draft ASN in an ERP integration, which receives its purchase order lines into the on-the-water location and creates the transfer orders to the destination. Posting cannot be undone.

Authentication Requirements

Requires the supply:push_to_accounting permission for the company.

Business Rules

  • The shipment must belong to the authenticated company. An archived shipment is skipped; a closed or cancelled one, or one with no lines, is refused in the process outcome
  • For a draft ASN, the posting date must be on or before the ship date the ASN holds in the ERP, and that ship date on or before the ASN's receipt date. This is checked before anything is written. Then only the posting date is written and the ASN posted, with the dates it already holds
  • A post that started and did not finish is resumed with the dates the ERP already holds; the posting date argument and the Endless dates are then not checked
  • A shipment with no ASN yet, or one already posted, is refused in the process outcome
  • The posting date must fall inside the ERP's open posting period; a date outside it is refused in the process outcome with that reason
  • Only one shipment push, post, or arrival date update runs per integration at a time

Error Scenarios

  • **VALIDATION**: the shipment or integration does not belong to the company, or the integration does not support posting shipment ASNs

Behavior

Returns a process ID immediately; the post runs in the background and reports its outcome through process_status_updates.
