overwriteAccountingCustomerFromExternal

Replaces the internal accounting values of a Customer with the ones the provider holds.

This is the deliberate way to adopt the provider's values. A pull refreshes the imported copy and preserves what an operator typed; this overwrites it.

Business Rules​

  • The Customer must already be linked to an imported customer in the given integration.
  • The provider-maintained balance is not written by this; the ingest refresh carries it.
  • The integration's accounting_source_of_truth setting does not apply. That setting governs imports, and an operator asking for this explicitly is not an import.
  • A Customer whose accounting is inherited from its sales channel cannot be changed here.

Error Scenarios​

  • The integration is missing or belongs to another company.
  • The Customer has no linked accounting record in that integration.
  • The Customer inherits its accounting from its sales channel.
