unitsOfMeasure

Lists every unit of measure the system recognises, with the dimension and exact conversion factor for the units that convert.

Business Rules​

  • Units convert only within one dimension; a quantity in grams cannot resolve against stock held in millilitres
  • Packaging units such as CASE and PALLET have no dimension and no factor, and never convert. A case has no universal size
  • conversionFactor is the exact multiplier into the dimension's base unit, serialised as a string so no precision is lost in transport
  • The vocabulary is fixed in code and identical for every company

Error Scenarios​

  • Unauthenticated requests are rejected

Permissions Required​

  • Authentication only. No permission is required for a static vocabulary that carries no tenant data
